The fifth element
This is called commonly as Akasha. This is the element from which all creation came, and which still exists in everything and in limitless capacities outside of what we perceive to be the material world.
In the fifth element the number 4 is particularly well-represented in Wiccan belief system. There are 4 Solar Holidays in the Wheel of the Year- the equinoxes and the solstices as well as 4 Earth festivals: Imbolc, Beltane, Lughnasa, and Samhain. There are of course 4 main seasons, and four cardinal directions, from which four winds blow. There are also 4 suits, with their corresponding Elements, in the major and minor arcana of Tarot.
Elemental Beings or Elementals:
These are the spirits of each element Earth, Air, Fire, Water, and take many names and different forms. Earth Elementals can take forms such as: gnomes, elves, trolls, and even faeries. Air Elementals can take the form of sylphs or winged faeries as well. Fire Elementals are known as salamanders because of there flaming tongues. Water Elementals are referred to as undines, but have been represented by water nymphs, and mermaids.
